Analysis of investment and international trade on the Gross Domestic Product of the fisheries sector in Indonesia: evidence from the Panel Vector Autoregressive (P-VAR) Model

Abstract The aim of this study is to identify the dynamics Gross Domestic Product growth in Indonesian fisheries and marine sector. This important considering that Indonesia a country has abundant wealth but faces several challenges such as production quality, investment growth, global uncertainty, international trade cycle. Thus, considers variables, namely GDP sector, domestic investment, foreign direct imports exports fishery volume research method used panel vector autoregression (P-VAR) model involving impulse response functions variance decomposition tests. results P-VAR estimation suggest variables have significant impact on sector are itself, indicate need for implementing policies accordance with economy through coordination all upstream downstream sectors; developing advancing industrialization products; fulfilling product standards; increasing quantity quality environmentally friendly production; improving fishermen’s welfare; related trade.
